Communications Director - NEW YORK | LOS ANGELES

The Future Perfect seeks a Public Relations and Marketing professional who can delegate and reinforce the brand vision, philosophy and messaging through Ecommerce, social media, event based marketing, and Public Relations. This position will work closely with all in-house departments as well as outside contractors to create a concise line of communication and maintain a consistent brand identity.

What you'll do:

  • Overseeing, managing, and maintaining all aspects of Marketing for three locations with the following: Overseeing communications for The Future Perfect and directly responsible for all PR and Marketing, TFP digital strategy, Social media programming, Contracted relationships with PR and SEO third party companies.
  • Directly responsible for all NY and SF based PR as well as overseeing PR for Casa Perfect with current contracted company.
  • Managing and overseeing marketing messages within our digital strategy.
  • Overseeing and coordinating the development and or acquisition of all photographic assets for the organization.
  • Overseeing and coordinating with all external contractors as it relates to marketing.
  • Overseeing and coordinating all events for The Future Perfect ‘s three locations.
  • Manage contact lists and invitations for events, gifting, and press.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 5 + years marketing and/or PR experience.
  • 2 + years working in a fast paced environment.
  • Ecommerce management experience.
  • Independently able to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects.
  • Strong organizational skills with the innate ability to communicate internally and externally.
  • Considerable event production experience.
  • Familiarity with NYC, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
  • Experience in or an understanding of Sales.
  • Interpersonal skills and high attention to detail.
  • Some graphic design experience a plus.

A&D Sales Account Manager | NEW YORK | SAN FRANCISCO

The Future Perfect is seeking a A&D Sales Account Manager to work with our architecture, interior design and contract clients in a creative and fast paced environment. The Account Manager will work from our showroom and is a highly motivated individual, responsible for both inside and outside sales.

Our Account Managers are responsible for growing the annual spend of their assigned book of business, which will consist of a range of small to large-sized design firms. They will close the majority of their business over the phone, and they will bring a strong background of building relationships in remote markets. The role is ideal for someone with 3+ years of showroom or design sales experience, preferably in furnishings or home decor, that is ready to roll up their sleeves, jump in the trenches, and do whatever it takes to succeed. Our ideal candidate will thrive in a constantly changing environment, be comfortable making sales calls outside of the Gallery and an accomplished public speaker.

What you'll do:

  • Manage and own a weekly calendar of meetings with new and returning TFP clients.
  • Complete a minimum of 50 outside trade meetings per quarter (approximately 4 meetings weekly).
  • Engage in regular contact via phone and email with your assigned accounts in order to identify who’s in the sourcing and purchasing phases of their project life cycles.
  • Begin to uncover and document the organization maps for design firms — goal is to identify decision makers and key influencers.
  • Prepare trade meeting materials for SD offsite presentations.
  • Gain an understanding of the sourcing and purchasing processes for your assigned accounts.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of TFP’s brand and brands carried as well as product information.
  • Reach monthly sales targets defined by management.
  • Assist with the maintenance of gallery aesthetics, organization, and overall standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in an inside/outside sales closing role at a SaaS or technology start-up.
  • Experience managing a book of 100+ accounts with a sales cycle of 1-6 months for first purchase.
  • Experience using Salesforce.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Experience with relaying product information to remote markets via conference calls with 5-10+ attendees.
  • Timely and thoughtful follow-up to creating trust and strong relationships with your accounts.
  • Ability to identify and overcome objections throughout the full sales cycle.
  • Passion for interior design, art, objects d’art, decorative arts, or architecture.
